Patient Details:

Age: 63
This patient had undergone prior right mastectomy and radiation therapy for breast cancer. She underwent a two stage reconstruction with a right latissimus dorsi flap and tissue expander placement, followed by a second stage removal of her tissue expander, insertion of a permanent silicone gel implant, and a simultaneous left breast lift (mastopexy) for symmetry. She is seen 15 months following completion of her surgery. Her left breast has fallen a bit more, but she was very pleased with her symmetry in a bra.
